Celebrating the adoption of the Zero Waste LA system and the release of LAANE’s new report, From Waste to Resource: Restoring our Economy with Recycling Careers—as well as the closing reception of How to Make Waste Public, an exhibition by Curt Gambetta, architectural designer and instructor at the Woodbury University School of Architecture. Don’t Waste LA director Jackie Cornejo, Curt Gambetta, report author John Guevarra and worker and environmental advocates will lead the conversation. Participants will discuss the impacts of recycling facilities inside and out: on workers, neighbors and the environment—and discuss how LA can be a national leader in good jobs, the environment, and thoughtful design.
